WOW! Best bubble waffle in the Seattle area. I've tried tons of other places and Liana Cafe has them all beat! Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Sooooo good!

3/15/19 Finally came in for the dumplings. Had time to talk to Liana a little this time she's genuinely one of the sweetest people I've met in the ID. Since you usually get food to go she wanted me to try the dumplings before they were packed to go so I got to try a of each freshly cooked. I ordered the pan fried but she gave me some steamed ones as well. She specifically wanted me to try the pan fried fresh when the bottom is nice and crisp. She sell frozen dumplings and prefixed meals you can cook at home. Looking forward to my next visit.

My brother had been asking I tried this place cause he heard good things about it. I've walked by many times and even looked at the menu but couldn't decide what to order kind of like today. If it doesn't look like someone is working there just peek towards the back and ask if they're open if the door is open most likely they are. I asked what they were known for I'm assuming I was talking to  Liana, she said they do a lot of catering of dumplings. She said she could make me noodles,  asked if I liked spicy and fish then went back and cooked away.

Told me it would take about 15-20 min that I could walk around and come back or have a seat. I came here late 2pm lunch and wasn't in a big rush. Just an fyi this place is a total hole in the wall meaning there isn't a table to really eat at. It's deeper than it is wide the kitchen takes up most of the space. She asked if salmon was ok I said sure, also if I was allergic to peanuts  I'm not but appreciated that she cared to ask. What I got was so delicious and broth packed full of veggies and salmon.  Sesame chili stir fried noodles. Enough for more than two meals for $8.95 before tax what a deal. The salmon was soft there was what looked to be napa, green peppers and carrots.

Looking forward to going back for her dumplings since many people have written how good the

We usually make it to Chinatown 3-4 times a year. We always make sure to stop by Liana's cafe to buy a few dz frozen Steamed Buns with BBQ Pork Filling to take home and put in our freezer. They are the best !!

They did a brilliant job catering my bridal shower! The food was not only fresh, delicious and amazing, it was also beautifully presented and totally Instagram worthy. Plus, all of the guests were raving about how delicious the food was.

I'd highly recommend them for catering your private events. They were super responsive and creative. I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted initially, but they gave me lots of ideas and options, and accommodated different allergies and dietary restrictions. I know it was a party my guests will never forget!

I've lived in Seattle for a long time now and I keep wondering how I keep missing all these businesses. I think the first time I came here was for a $2 food walk for one of the festivals. I've been here a variety of times including Dumpling Day, as others have mentioned.

In terms of space - you walk in the door and 2-3 people can stand in line inside. Directly in front of the door is a counter where you order. You can view yummies in the case as you order. They also serve bubble tea and a number of other fruity drinks. They're too sweet for my taste but people seem to love them.

Personally, I've never encountered what I consider to be a long wait. I tend to be there on busier days so there are multiple people back in the kitchen.

I primarily go for dumplings but have been known to order hum bow. Cheap, flavorful, well done. I love to stop by and grab a bite as I continue walking around the hood or take a seat at one of the nearby parks. As some have mentioned, there may be a seat or two outside.
